Shape

Your input drives improvements, published evidence, and new products via SCIP.

How much of my time does this take? A typical evaluation runs 2–4 weeks inside your normal workflow, with about 30 minutes of total structured feedback. Evaluation Leads coordinating facility-wide evaluations invest more — and earn more recognition, CE, and co-authorship for it.

Evidence & recognition

Your data becomes published evidence — with your name on it

When your facility opts in to structured outcomes collection, your evaluation contributes to real clinical evidence. Contributors are credited; lead contributors are co-authors.

Structured outcomes

Validated measures, clean protocols, and data-sharing agreements your facility can trust. De-identified data only, reviewed under our privacy and compliance framework.

Co-authorship

Named credit on the case studies, posters, and publications your evaluation data produces. Build your professional portfolio while you work.

Conference presentation support

Present accepted posters and findings at national conferences — with registration and travel support for bona fide scientific contributors, consistent with facility policy.

SCIP — Skil-Care Clinical Innovation Partnership

Have an idea? That's how our best products start.

Skil-Care was founded by an engineer solving real problems for real people at the bedside. SCIP keeps that tradition alive: members can — at their discretion — submit ideas for new products or enhancements, co-developed with our product, engineering, and regulatory teams.

1 · Bring us a problem

Describe a clinical challenge that needs a product solution. We work with you to define the need, refine a concept, and assess feasibility.

2 · Bring us an innovation

Already have an idea or prototype? Apply to have it evaluated for co-development with Skil-Care™.

3 · Learn the ropes

Free "Innovation & IP 101" workshops: how product development works, what makes an idea commercializable, and how royalties are handled.

How royalties work

If your product is commercialized, you share in its success: royalties of [X–Y]% of net sales for the life of the product, split between you as the clinician-innovator and your facility under a formal, written SCIP co-development agreement. Royalties reflect bona fide intellectual property contribution — they are never tied to purchasing decisions, product advocacy, or evaluation outcomes.

For facility leaders

Why DONs & administrators say yes

Your clinicians need your sign-off to participate — so here's what your facility gets out of it.

Supported evaluation access

Structured evaluations with reduced-cost or supported access where appropriate and permitted by your policies — assess products rigorously before any purchasing decision, with no obligation.

Outcomes data you can use

Structured evaluation data supports your QAPI program, survey readiness, and falls / wound / safety committee reporting.

Staff development at no cost

Funded CE, leadership roles, and publication credit — retention and growth benefits you don't have to budget for.

Facility royalty share

When your staff's SCIP co-developments commercialize, your facility shares in royalties under the formal SCIP agreement.

Our commitment to program integrity

The Clinical Community is a clinical innovation and evidence-generation platform — not a rewards program. Participation in evaluations requires facility approval. Program support — evaluation access, CE funding, and presentation support — is provided in connection with legitimate educational and scientific activity, is never contingent on purchasing, standardization, or value-analysis decisions, and is subject to eligibility limits for members with purchasing influence. Members are expected to disclose program participation to their facility consistent with its conflict-of-interest policies.

Community & events

More than a program — a peer network

Innovation happens in conversation. Members connect year-round, not just during trials — and we like to think we're pretty good company.

Quarterly roundtables

Virtual sessions where members compare trial experiences, preview prototypes, and question our product team directly.

Annual Innovation Summit

The flagship member event: product roadmap previews, member presentations, and the Clinical Innovator of the Year award.

Clinical Innovator of the Year

Annual award for the member whose contribution most improved patient care — includes a funded trip to a national conference.

Refer a colleague

Know a clinician who'd make the products better? Members who bring in a colleague get priority matching to new evaluations.

What clinicians are saying

Trusted at the bedside

We flagged an issue with skin visibility during our heel boot evaluation, and a revised sample was in our hands in under three weeks — that's what happens when a company still manufactures in New York. Nearly 50 years of making these products shows in every detail.

Most vendors hand you a brochure. Skil-Care handed us samples, outcomes data, and a dedicated field team. With everything on-shore, questions got answered in hours, not weeks. The fastest, most thorough value analysis review our committee has completed.

As a small rural facility, we're used to being an afterthought for big manufacturers. Not with Skil-Care. Their team was on-site for our alarm evaluation and took every piece of bedside feedback seriously. Truly collaborative from day one.
